C.J. Enterprises Bests Odds, Celebrates 25th Anniversary

C. J. Enterprises, Inc. (CJE) celebrated its 25th anniversary last November. The records and information management company serves healthcare facilities, governmental agencies and commercial businesses. CJE has corporate offices located in Chattanooga, with site offices in five other cities, including Atlanta.

"According to the Minority Business Development Agency, four out of five minority businesses fail in the first three years, so this 25-year celebration is quite an accomplishment for CJE," said Carolyn Jones, President and CEO.

Jones and her husband, Edward G. Jones, Executive Vice President and CFO, founded C.J. Health Records Consulting Services, Inc. - to provide health information management services primarily to healthcare facilities.

After five years the company expanded and diversified its services and began contracting with government agencies, insurance companies and other commercial clients. The company offers health information management, records and information management, Web services, and other documentation technology services in over 30 states.

Carolyn Jones was the first woman and minority to receive the Manager of the Year Award presented here annually. Jones was also the first Chattanooga recipient of the ATHENA Award and the first to receive the Jane Cozby Henderson Award presented by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). In another honor she was named one of the Fifty Most Influential Minorities in Business by the Minority Business and Professional Network.
